"The girls working in this place have NO customer service skills. I practically had to beg one to show me where the wreaths were, she was very busy have a conversation with 2 of her coworkers. Then the cashier directed me to self checkout. SHE LITERALLY WASN'T RINGING ANYONE OUT. I explained I had coupons and would rather go to her but she said the computers did it and dismissed me. 5/15/24 around noon. All three girls were terrible."

"I purchased a patio umbrella last fall and put it in the garage for the winter to protect it from the weather. On a nice 70-degree day, I placed the patio umbrella on the patio onto the table to secure it, and 3 of the attachments to the umbrella fell apart from the umbrella and can not be repaired. I should have known better, the umbrella structure is all made from cheap plastic. This is not to judge other products in the store, but I would not buy a patio product made from plastic from At Home."

"If this is the same brand store that's located on the east-side of Columbus, OH i cannot recommend it. i bought a small stool to use in front of a small make-up table. After using it for about 2 years or so; it broke down! And i don't weigh 200 lbs!! Cheap Chinese junk if you ask me. i ended up junking it and buying a solid Amish made stool that won't break down on me."
Over the course of history Halloween’s visible practices have morphed and merged with the culture of the day, but the purpose of honoring the dead, veiled in fun and festivities, has remained the same. The question remains, is celebrating Halloween bad or unbiblical? Should Christians celebrate Halloween?
The history of Halloween includes origins and traditions that conflict with Bible teachings. Those pagan origins matter, including why it is called Halloween.
In my Halloween display, themes aren't exactly common. It's mostly just a graveyard with oddities in a fence, and I'm the only person in the family who does a character. Like one year, dad's grill table was a sacrifice altar, another year it was a display for "evil" pumpkins (which my dad didn't like that it was "evil").
We have our first glimpse into Roger’s Gardens Halloween plans this year. Their Halloween decorations are always fabulous. Any guesses on this year’s theme?
They only have one half of an aisle so far at ours, but there was an assortment of random Halloween stuff and some were clearance items. Spooky leaf bags (ghosts or pumpkins) were 39 cents a pack! And they had a few FG Square village buildings, but those were sadly full price.
The last "weekend" Halloween was 2020, so I have been looking forward to 2025 ever since. The weather here is a coin toss, though. Snowed in '23 and was 70 and drying from a morning drizzle this year, but that was enough to kill the final tot count because everyone assumed it was going to rain on a school night.
