We have often walked up to Dartmouth castle when on holiday but had never been inside. It is lovely to see how things used to be. If you have any mobility issues, you might struggle with a stone spir… Full review by FloandStan

I didn't go inside but saw the bulk of the castle from the ferry ride and also the road. It's not large but is picturesque and in an amazing location Full review by ian_dempster

I can’t answer for the English Heritage part. But charges do depends on the time of year you are travelling. Out of season most places are free parking. There are options to park …

I can’t answer for the English Heritage part. But charges do depends on the time of year you are travelling. Out of season most places are free parking. There are options to park nearby for free. Or if you are staying in Dartmouth itself it’s only a 15 minuets walk which is a very scenic route.

My other half has arthritis in her knees would she enjoy a visit to the castle or would it be a nightmare for her with steps?
A:
Lots of Steps, but able to park at the entrance and enter the mid level bits and then enjoy a Tea at the Cafe.
