There is a station in one of the bridges where you can line up and pay for the boat. There are payments depending on the number of attractions. Please refer below: 1. CNY 30 for four scenic spots (including Tongtianhe Medicine Shop, Qing Dynasty Post Office, Y-Art Gallery, and Kezhi Garden); 2. CNY 60 for eight scenic spots (including Y-Art Gallery, Tongtianhe Medicine Shop, Qing Dynasty Post Office, City God Temple, Yuanjin Meditation Room, Handwork Exhibition Hall, Quanhua Art Hall and Kezhi Garden); 3. Don’t take a taxi unless you have money to burn. Read the reviews of the place and either take a direct bus, many reviews tell you where and how much, or try the metro, which is …

Don’t take a taxi unless you have money to burn. Read the reviews of the place and either take a direct bus, many reviews tell you where and how much, or try the metro, which is new, line 17 from Hongqiao. Don’t know where you will end up but the direct bus drops you at the terminal, which is a five minute walk from the old town, there are signs for directions. The bus will take about an hour and a half, and allow you to see Shanghai’s suburbs.
