HILLSBOROUGH HISTORICAL SOCIETY [ TOWN OF ] -- OUR MISSION: * To collect, preserve, and exhibit objects and documents pertinent to the history of Hillsborough and to the life and legacy of Hillsborough’s native son Franklin Pierce, 14th U.S. President. * To provide a museum where accessibility to our expertise, books, primary sources, research files, and Manahan-Phelps-McCulloch Photo Collection exists for researchers of all ages. * To generate interest in Hillsborough’s rich historical, architectural, military, and cultural heritage by offering public programs and by supporting local and state entities with the same goal.
