Gov. Tim Walz released the following statement Sunday night on the arrest of Vance Boelter following the “assassination” of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, and the “attempted assassination” of John and Yvette Hoffman,

Vance Boelter, who is the suspect in the Minnesota lawmakers' shootings, was reportedly the CEO of a company named Red Lion Group with connections to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The wife of Vance Boelter, the suspect in the Minnesota lawmaker shootings, was arrested after officials pulled over her vehicle in Onamia.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz reappointed the suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of Minnesota state legislators to a workforce development board. Conservatives baselessly said that implicated Walz in the killing.

Vance Luther Boelter was identified as the prime person of interest in the 'politically motivated assassination' and assassination attempt of Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses. He is said to be an avid Trump supporter despite being a former Tim Walz appointee.

The alleged killer left behind a ‘manifesto’ listing the names of 70 politicians, including Walz and his Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan, and a stack of papers stating ‘No Kings’
