Alysha Burney, a social media star who has more than 4 million followers across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, has died just one day before her 25th birthday. Burney's brother, Charles Burney, confirmed to TODAY that his sister died March 2 at age 24 after suffering an asthma attack in her sleep while the pair were on vacation in Mexico.

Alysha Burney, who has over 4.5 million followers between YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, died while in Mexico just before her 25th birthday, according to public posts on social media by her family. “I come with great sadness that my little sister Alysha Burney has passed,” her brother Charles Burney said in an Instagram post.
