Mississippi Senator Bradford Blackmon is raising eyebrows—and apparently some tempers—with his audaciously named “Contraception Begins at Erection Act,” which aims to make masturbation illegal unless the intention is to create a baby.

A Democratic Mississippi state senator introduced legislation this week that makes it unlawful for men to masturbate "without the intent to fertilize an embryo," with the lawmaker criticizing anti-abortion measures that only "focus on the woman’s role.

The bill would ban unprotected sex without the intent of procreation. Sponsoring Sen. Bradford Blackmon, D-Canton, hopes to make a point.
