Protests over President Trump's immigration enforcement raids and his mobilization of the Marines and National Guard in Los Angeles have spread to other major U.S. cities.
More than 200 people gathered at Victory Park in Stockton for a peaceful protest against ICE, held in solidarity with similar demonstrations across the country.
Late-night activity was limited, and downtown Los Angeles remained relatively quiet late Tuesday and into Wednesday as the curfew issued by Mayor Karen Bass went into effect. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to CBS News Los Angeles early Tuesday that 17 people were arrested for breaking the curfew,
The city acknowledged that the change could make it more difficult for some families to visit detained loved ones.

People gathered in downtown Des Moines to show support for immigrants' rights as protesters more than 1,600 miles away in LA continue to rally against ICE.
