The series spawned two movies, 2008's Sex and the City, and its sequel two years later, plus a CW series, The Carrie Diaries, which ran from 2013 to 2014. Most recently, Parker has starred in And Just Like That... — the revival and sequel series to Sex and the City, which aired its finale on Aug. 14.

The HBO Max reboot of “Sex and the City” may have divided audiences, but it kept pushing New York fashion into bold, sometimes absurd territory.

Speaking with Deadline about the series finale, And Just Like That... creator Michael Patrick King confirmed that this was the ending that he wanted and he "wouldn't have stopped" otherwise. Notably, King has been involved in the franchise going back to the original run of the series on HBO. He went on:
