Less than 24 hours after arriving in El Paso, both the Washington and Louisville football teams got back to work, preparing for the 2024 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. Washington held its first practice since arriving in El Paso at Socorro Independent School District’s SAC II on Thursday.

Washington kicks off in El Paso at the Sun Bowl in a little over one week. The Huskies’ opponent, the Louisville Cardinals, will look a little different than they did throughout the 2024 season.

The Huskies will play Louisville Cardinals in the Sun Bowl, so we take a look at the matchup of the universities and their hometowns, Seattle and Louisville.

Tahveon Nicholson takes over as a starting cornerback following Quincy Riley's presumed NFL Draft opt-out. Rae'mon Mosby and Jaden Minkins added as backups, while Destin Cheirs is added as a third stringer.

Tickets remain for Dec. 31 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl between Louisville and Washington. The game will begin at noon.
