Malcolm-Jamal Warner, an actor and artist who rose to fame as a child as Theodore Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died, according to a source close to the actor.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner the actor who played teenage son Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show,” has died at age 54 in an accidental drowning in Costa Rica, authorities there said.

"I will be able to leave this earth knowing and people knowing that I was a good person," Warner said of his legacy during a May 21 episode of the Hot & Bothered with Melyssa Ford podcast.
