Before the Michelin Guide publishes its annual compendium of the best California restaurants, the global dining authority inducts some of the region’s new and notable spots, inviting intrigue, celebration and speculation as to what these inclusions will mean once the full guide is released.

Today, the Michelin Guide announced 14 new additions to the Florida selection of restaurants, six of which are in Orlando.

On Wednesday, the Michelin Guide announced 15 new additions to its California guide, including seven Bay Area restaurants. While being added to the California guide does not mean a restaurant has earned a Michelin star or Bib Gourmand distinction,
