Premier League leaders Liverpool got everything they wanted (and a bit more) from top-4 hopefuls Nottingham Forest on Tuesday, as the Reds erased an early deficit en route to a 1-1 draw at the City Ground.

Overall, a 1-1 draw keeps Liverpool’s six-point cushion ahead of Forest intact, even if their head coach Arne Slot will have reservations, as he did when his team lost the reverse fixture at Anfield 1-0 four months ago, despite an excellent second half.

All it took was one connection from Diogo Jota and Konstantinos Tsimikas to turn what looked like a loss for Liverpool at the City Ground into a 1-1 draw against surprising Nottingham Forest. This was another example of manager Arne Slot being able to use his entire squad to push the right buttons at the right time to get his team into high gear,
