A juvenile was seriously injured in a shooting Saturday night, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department. A press release states that at around 8:15 p.m., the WSPD responded to a shooting in the 1000 block of Shalimar Drive.

Winston-Salem police say they responded to a reported shooting on Shalimar Drive. When they arrived, they found a minor in a backyard beside a church, shot. Officers say they attempted life-saving treatment until EMS could arrive,

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A juvenile is in critical life-threatening condition after being shot, according to officials with the Winston-Salem Police Department.

According to the Winston-Salem Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of Shalimar Drive around 8:15 p.m. Saturday for a reported shooting. When they arrived, they found a juvenile "in the backyard beside the church, suffering from a gunshot wound."
