Vladimir Putin’s alleged secret daughter has apologized for her father’s war in Ukraine, after she was confronted in Paris by a Ukrainian journalist whose brother was killed in a recent Russian airstrike.

Putin's comments follow the latest flurry of meetings set in motion by US President Donald Trump in what has been the most intense diplomatic push to stop the fighting since Russia launched its war against Ukraine nearly four years ago.

Russian President Vladimir Putin says some proposals in a U.S. plan to end the war in Ukraine are unacceptable to the Kremlin.

Thursday's meeting will follow U.S. talks with Putin in Moscow.

In a recent interview, Russian President Vladimir Putin asserted that the Ukraine conflict will persist until Moscow achieves its objectives, particularly the "liberation of Donbas."
