Individual investors responded to the market selloff earlier this week triggered by concerns regarding a Chinese artificial intelligence startup by buying a wide array of technology stocks, according to data released by Vanda Research on Wednesday.

Retail investors bought a net $562 million of Nvidia stock on Monday, the largest single-day inflow in at least 10 years, VandaTrack said.

Risks to the U.S. stock market are piling up as cracks emerge in the technology trade and the path for interest rates is clouded by persistent inflation worries that are being exacerbated by the potential for looming tariffs.
