At Crater Lake National Park, the deepest lake in the U.S. is slated to close to swimmers and boaters for two years.

In spring to early summer, when the air temperatures get warmer, the snow melts and the land warms up quickly. However, even as the air stays warm, it takes much longer for lake water to warm up.
