RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A new competition is rolling into Hot August Nights this year, giving custom car builders a chance to showcase their craftsmanship and compete for thousands in prize money.

But it isn’t just a car show. Organizers hold the global event to search for a prototype of the next die-cast Hot Wheels car. 180 custom car builders brought their rides to show off to the judges.
