FDNY history was made at Queens College as the head of Battalion 46 in Elmhurst became the first-ever female deputy chief and the highest-ranking woman in fire operations.

Brian J. Fink retired after 38 years with FDNY as a battalion chief, serving as commander of the 19th battalion in the Bronx. he also served as the executive officer for the FDNY Chief of Training.
