A judge in Germany has ordered the suspect in the dedly Christmas market ramming attack to be held in pre-trial detention following a late-night court appearance on Saturday, according to a statement from police early Sunday.

A quiet German city 100 miles west of Berlin had its Christmas traditions ripped apart with one dead and mroe than a dozen in critical condition.

A video of a police operation in Berlin has been misleadingly linked online to the Dec. 20 car-ramming attack at a Christmas market in the central German city of Magdeburg in posts suggesting that Muslims were targeted by authorities following the attack.

The suspected perpetrator involved in the fatal incident at the Magdeburg Christmas market is expected to lose his medical licence, the regional administration for the state of Saxony-Anhalt announced on Friday.
