As spotted by 9to5Google, Google Maps is currently rolling out its “2020 Timeline update,” an email which gives you a breakdown of the places you’ve been based on your location history.

Until recently, Google Maps for Android version numbers were structured like 11.155.0103. 11, which would be the major version number in other apps, last changed (from 10) in 2021.

A new Google Maps version – 25.08.0 – is now available on the App Store, and iPhone users should install it ASAP, especially if they want to resolve this broken feature on CarPlay.
