The Utah Department of Transportation reopened Little Cottonwood Canyon following an overnight closure brought on by an avalanche that trapped several cars

While Wednesday was a skier’s paradise, the canyon can change in a short amount of time. Just the day before, multiple vehicles were partially buried after an avalanche that forced the canyon to close

SR-210, the road that goes through the canyon has been closed for Utah Department of Transportation crews to conduct road operations and avalanche mitigation. As of 7 a.m., there is no estimate on when the road will reopen.
