December is just getting started, and our first (partial) winter storm is underway. Many will see rain in this event, but where it snows, there could be significant amounts, and it’s likely to be heavy and wet.
A tornado warning is in effect until 3 a.m. for Hinds, Rankin and Madison counties. A possible tornado was spotted on radar around 2 a.m. near Edwards. Watch live in the video player above. A tornado watch is also in effect for the metro area until 6 a.m. Several power outages were also reported in the metro. The majority were in Hinds County.
