Environment Canada is forecasting a high of minus 3 with wind chills of minus 18 in the morning and minus 9 in the afternoon.

As the smog warning continues in Montreal, Environment and Climate Change Canada issued a special weather statement, warning that freezing rain may be on the way as the weather warms.

Montreal and surrounding areas are under two weather warnins: smog and freezing rain. Warning of high concentrations of pollutants in the air made the weather agency put out a smog warning for Montreal and Laval.

Montrealers waking up after a night of food and festive joy are advised to take caution outdoors as a smog warning is in effect. Environment and Climate Change Canada issued the warning for the Montreal and Laval regions in addition to Vaudreuil, Valleyfield-Beauharnois and Mont-Tremblant—Sainte-Agathe.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement forecasting freezing rain and rain along the St. Lawrence Valley, stretching from the southern Laurentians to the Quebec City area, from Saturday evening until Sunday.
