The Chargers took some risks in the NFL draft and it keeps them firmly in the conversation for some top free agents.

The 2026 NFL Draft is scheduled to transpire today, as round 1 begins this evening. The event will begin at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN/ABC/NFL Network. Fans can watch the NFL Draft for free online by using the free trials offered by DIRECTV and Fubo TV.

Linebacker is a need for the Bengals and Wagner is one of the best free agents at the position.  Even better: The Bengals have repeatedly talked about needing to add a veteran presence to the room (which also made it obvious they wouldn’t be attacking the position in the draft).
