The Super Bowl halftime show has always been a major part of the annual NFL event, and is America's most-watched musical performance of the year.

Rapper Kendrick Lamar is fresh off one of the biggest nights of his life, winning all five categories he was nominated for in a historic Grammys sweep for his hit "Not Like Us," and things are not slowing down anytime soon for the now 22-time Grammy winner.

After the biggest year of his professional career — which resulted in five Grammy Awards for his iconic Drake diss “Not Like Us” — Compton rapper Kendrick Lamar will take the biggest stage in America when he performs at Super Bowl LIX this upcoming Sunday.

Part of the excitement of a live show like the NFL Halftime Show is that we don't know what will happen until it does, like Usher's 2024 surprise guests or Rihanna's pregnancy announcement. But Kendrick's fight comes in the middle of an ongoing rap beef between him and rival Drake.

Grammy-winning artist Kendrick Lamar will headline the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. The rap megastar, who has won 17 Grammys, said he’s looking forward to bringing hip-hop to the NFL’s championship game, where he performed as a guest artist with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent and Eminem in 2022.

Kendrick Lamar recently revealed fellow Grammy-winning artist SZA as the Super Bowl 59 halftime show guest, but fans other artists in mind.

The 2025 Super Bowl halftime show will center around Kendrick Lamar, who has been on the stage at the NFL's biggest occasion once before. The Los Angeles-based rapper joined Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and a long list of West Coast hip-hop stars on stage at SoFi Stadium at halftime in 2022.
