A new documentary, The Spirit of Sleeping Bear Dunes, directed by Keith Patterson, is gaining recognition and will be broadcast on PBS.

Public media advocates say it is these local stations, particularly the ones in rural areas like Smoky Hills PBS, that will bear the brunt of the federal funding cuts.
