Problem solved. The headset is listed as compatible with Windows, OSX, Xbox, PS4 and Nintendo (I don't know what they mean by Nintendo, all of them?). Anyways, it just requires an USB2 port.

Fix #2: Use the headset on another PS4 or device. Whether you are using the headset that came with your PS4 or a third party one, it’s not a bad idea to see if it’s working or not.
