Firefighters in Napa County, California, have been working around the clock for days to contain a wildfire that continues to grow. The Pickett Fire, as it is known, had burned more than 10 square miles as of Monday evening.

The winery-dotted area in Napa County threatened by the Pickett Fire has seen its share of destructive blazes in years past. Most notably, the region was hit by the 2020 Glass Fire, which covered more than 67,000 acres and destroyed over 1,500 structures before crews battled it back.

As of Sunday afternoon, the fire in the northern part of Napa County, near Calistoga, covered 6,803 acres and was 11% contained — up from 7% — according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
