Cal Fire investigators have determined the cause of the Tubbs Fire, which happened during the Oct. 2017 Fire Siege, to be a private electrical system adjacent to a residential structure.

Cal Fire’s investigation into the cause of the Tubbs fire took 16 months, yielding an 80-page summary report released in January that focused as much on what didn’t cause the fire as what did.
