The UK is preparing for its latest big freeze as a giant 720-mile wall of snow is to hit as far south as Devon in the New Year. UK weather maps from WXCharts have turned various shades of people indicating that snow is on its way in the very near future.

The Met Office has published a new weather map, which shows a huge band of snow arriving in the UK around noon on January 1. With temperatures hovering around 4c in Greater Manchester, up to 5cm of snow could fall by midnight in the worst affected areas.
