Waymo, the self-driving car unit of Google parent Alphabet, is returning to New York City. But it won’t be offering rides to the paying public yet, as it currently does in four other cities.

Waymo says that the next big city it’s going to plant autonomous ride-sharing in is New York. Unfortunately, Waymo’s business model isn’t exactly run of the mill, and that may take some time.
