Bradley Beal is expected to hit the open market later this week once the Suns waive and stretch the final two years of his contract.

Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports reported that Beal's buyout is "imminent," and he's likely to have $96.9 million of the $110.8 million remaining on his contract stretched over the next five years. That would allow the Suns to avoid going over both tax aprons.

Defensively, a backcourt of James Harden and Beal is flawed, but Kawhi Leonard, Brook Lopez, and Ivica Zubac are capable of compensating, at least to a certain extent. Beal is the same age as Powell, and there would likely not be too much drop-off in production, though they are also different players.
