One of the most talked about draft picks of the last decade will make his first NFL start this weekend in Las Vegas. Shedeur Sanders, who plummeted from a potential Top 5 pick to Selection No. 144, steps under center Sunday in Sin City when the Cleveland Browns (2-8) take the field against the Raiders (2-8).

Shedeur Sanders will start Sunday at quarterback against the Las Vegas Raiders, coach Kevin Stefanski announced, confirmed by insiders. He replaces Dillon Gabriel, who remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol after leaving Sunday’s game.

For years, the Pro Bowl pass rusher has racked up sacks to give Cleveland a relatively competitive defense, even while the offense flounders and the top of the staff changes hands. The 2025 NFL campaign has been something special even by Garrett's lofty standards, however.

The Week 12 game between the Cleveland Browns and the Las Vegas Raiders will air on CBS at 4:05 PM ET on Sunday. Ohio Coverage: Only the upper portion Ohio will get to see the game, with the likes of Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati getting the early Patriots vs. Bengals game instead.
