The goal of any top-ranked college basketball team is, of course, to win a national championship, something Duke is well-equipped to do this season. However, it seems this year’s Blue Devils have enacted a separate goal — to impose their will on the rest of the ACC.

The Blue Devils’ dominant defense was again on point against Pittsburgh, and freshmen Cooper Flagg and Kon Knueppel were active on offense.

On Tuesday night, No. 4 Duke dominated Pitt start-to-finish at the historic Cameron Indoor Stadium, winning 76-47. The Panthers did not score in the final 7:59 of the game, after trailing for most of the matchup. Duke ended the dominant victory on an 18-0 run.

Running the table in a power conference is incredibly difficult, but with how well Duke is playing — and how poor the rest of the ACC looks — it’s not out of the question.

The projected No. 1 overall draft pick has been as close to flawless as anyone could ever expect from a Duke basketball freshman.
