Warmer weather continues to arrive this week as we move well into the 60s at times through Friday. Morning moderate, holding above freezing most mornings. Looking ahead to the weekend, we expect some showers early in the day on Saturday. These will quickly clear, giving way to more warmth through Sunday.

Temperatures on Sunday will be slightly cooler thanks to that passage, but otherwise not too terrible. In other good news, the Climate Prediction Center’s 6-10 day outlook has the area under a 60% chance of seeing above normal temperatures this final week of January and into the beginning of February.

Rainy weather made for wet road conditions Sunday morning, leading to a multi-vehicle collision on westbound Interstate 8 near San Diego State University, according to a Sig Alert from California Highway Patrol.

First Alert AccuTrack shows light rain falling across the state. Most of this rain will wrap up by mid-morning leaving a cloudy sky. Temperatures are starting in the 40s and 50s. The sky is expected to gradually clear this afternoon as temperatures hold in the mid-50s.
