Key cities including Brighton, Portsmouth, Plymouth and Exeter could all see up to 2cm of snow fall per hour. Snow shows no sign of stopping as we go throughout the afternoon and into this evening. For many areas across southern England including Greater London the snow will ease off slightly with 1cm predicted per hour.

The Met Office has updated its weather warnings for snow across southern England as the Southeast, Southwest and London braced for the white stuff. The updated warnings run from 9.00am today until 11.59pm Wednesday evening and cover a huge area of the country.
