More snow and below freezing temperatures could be headed to South Carolina soon. Here is the latest forecasts.

Models are showing a southward trend in snow chances, mainly because of the strength of the cold air dome over the U.S. That cold, dry and dense air is causing the storm track to move south a bit. Both the Euro and GFS show snow for the SC coast, while we stay dry, The Canadian model does bring more snow our way, but it’s an outlier for now.

Snow will turn into sleet and freezing rain along parts of the Southeast, as well as southern Arkansas, the weather service reported. Forecasters warn that icy conditions, between a tenth and a quarter inch of ice, will make travel dangerous for many. Power outages and downed branches are also a concern.
