Florida basketball finds itself in a good spot for a high NCAA Tournament seed heading into the last week of January

The Tennessee Volunteers had a strong 2024 season, taking a big step forward in making their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance and their second ten-plus win season in their last three years.

The Florida men’s tennis team kicked off ITA Kick-Off Weekend at Columbia University on Saturday with a 4-0 victory over Middle Tennessee.

Florida and Tennessee will tip off February 1st at 12 PM ET and it will be televised on ESPN.

The Florida Gators will have a week in-between games before facing three ranked opponents on the road in its next four games.

Florida basketball stayed at No. 6 in this week's USA Today's men's college basketball poll. The Florida Gators (18-2, 5-2 SEC) have won three straight including back-to-back wins last week at South Carolina (70-69) and at home against Georgia (89-59).

Florida was one of the later programs to offer five-star class of 2026 receiver Tristen Keys, but the Gators made the cut for his top 12 on Friday.

The Gators have a full week off before their next game. They travel to Tennessee to face the Volunteers next Saturday at noon.
