Wayne Rooney has been told he would be ‘absolutely brilliant’ in a coaching role at Manchester United just days after he left Championship side Plymouth Argyle. It was announced on New Year’s Eve that ex-England striker Rooney had left Plymouth by mutual agreement.
As reported by The Mirror, former United defender Wes Brown believes Rooney should return to Old Trafford in a coaching capacity to help United’s underperforming crop of current players. United are particularly struggling in front of goal and Brown says Rooney’s experience would be an ideal learning opportunity for Amorim’s misfiring forwards.
