DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) - Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has set the date for a special election to fill the state Senate seat formerly held by the late Rocky De Witt. President Donald Trump previously sued the former pollster, who predicted former Vice President Kamala Harris would win Iowa by 3%.
The Orange One's attorneys attempted to frame the case as a consumer fraud issue, arguing that Selzer's poll constituted "fake news" and was an act of "brazen election interference."
The original complaint revolves around a pre-election poll showing Vice President Harris with a three-point lead in Iowa.
