Prince William focused on keeping Kate Middleton safe during the royal family's Christmas walk at Sandringham. While meeting with fans, Kate joked, “I think I’ve lost my family," despite the Prince of Wales seemingly kept an eye on the Princess of Wales during the public event.

As she continues her return to public life, Kate Middleton joked “I seem to have lost my family!” after she fell behind Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis on the royal family’s traditional Christmas Day walkabout.

The Princess of Wales, 42, boasted a close friendship with the Duke of Sussex before he and his wife, Meghan Markle, quit royal life and moved to the US in 2020.

Bond explained that some of Middleton's previous birthdays have had complications, with her saying the special occasions being "overshadowed by events: Harry and Meghan announcing they were stepping back from royal duties on 8 January, 2020, then Harry releasing his book, Spare, on 10 January, 2023."

King Charles III and Kate Middleton both announced this year they have cancer. Middleton revealed in September that she completed chemotherapy treatment.
