Interim Fire Chief Robin “Robby” Bergerson has been named chief of the Waco Fire Department, the city of Waco said in a press release Thursday morning.

A severe thunderstorm dropped almost 1.7 inches of rain on Waco and left thousands of customers without power Thursday afternoon.
