The state's largest health care system will close 47 Walgreens clinics as part of a broader shift in operations.

Aurora has been operating clinics in Walgreens stores since 2017. It will no longer operate the clinics beginning Feb. 6.

Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreens operates retail locations across the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The health system recently announced a $1B investment to expand primary, specialty care and wellness services on the South Side of Chicago.
