Austria on Wednesday announced a package of measures in response to severe flooding across the country, including a tripling of the federal disaster fund and tax postponements for affected companies.

Austrian police said two more people have died in the floods sweeping parts of the country. A 70-year-old man and an 80-year-old man died in their respective homes in communities in Lower Austria, the authorities said on Monday.
