With that established, below CBS Sports has highlighted five names worth knowing in the 2026 MLB Draft. Mind you, this is not a ranking or a projection of the top of next year's class. It's merely an introduction to the group through the examination of five particularly interesting players.
Levi Huesman (16th round) and Jonathan Vastine (19th round). Three Commodores signees (Seth Hernandez, Sean Gamble and Slater de Brun) were taken in the first round and one (Cooper Flemming) in the second round.
What you should know: The Mets took a big chance taking Prescott with their fourth pick in the draft. The 21-year-old right-hander is known for being able to touch triple-digits on the radar gun with a slider in the 80s, a differential that could make any hitter look foolish.
