(KSTP) — A small plane crashed Friday afternoon in Shakopee, injuring two people, authorities say. The Shakopee Police Department said the plane crashed at Scenic Heights Park around 12:30 p.m. Two passengers were taken to the hospital. It’s unclear how severe their injuries were.

Authorities said two people aboard the aircraft were transported to a hospital after the plane went down at Scenic Heights Park.

The two injured were passengers on the plane and were hospitalized, although the severity of their injuries is not yet known. Local and federal officials are investigating the crash.
