In the Knicks’ 114-113 victory, Tom Thibodeau’s reserves actually won the points battle, and that was in large part due to Miles McBride.
To the public eye, McBride hasn’t always been a good 3-point shooter. In very limited minutes during his first two seasons, McBride never shot better than 30 percent behind the arc. However, behind the scenes, head coach Tom Thibodeau and the Knicks coaching staff felt very confident that McBride would show more than he had with more opportunity.
