Southeast Texas residents should prepare for the most significant winter weather event in years, as freezing-cold temperatures and a winter storm are expected to hit the Houston area over the next several days.
The National Weather Service has issued winter storm watches for parts of 8 New Jersey counties where the heaviest snow is expected Sunday.
Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) told Newsweek: "ERCOT has issued a Weather Watch from January 20-23 due to predicted extreme cold weather across the ERCOT region, higher electrical demand, and the potential for lower reserves.
