Christ the King Catholic School, located next to the church on Tidewater Drive, has been open for nearly 70 years. The school offers preschool through eighth-grade classes.

"The school's debt burden has become too great while our prospects for future financial viability have become too narrow," said Pastor Father Augustine Lukenge.

A letter addressed to parishioners and school families Tuesday stated that “Christ the King School will cease operations at the end of the current 2024-2025 school year.”
